Planner

Privacy Policy

Planner is production scheduling software run by Dot to Dot. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to contact us about your data.

Last updated: 7 June 2026

Information we collect

Account details you provide, such as your name, email address, password sign-in details, team membership, billing plan, and support messages.

Schedule and project content you create in Planner, including projects, folders, blocks, dates, comments, invites, exports, and related production metadata.

Marketing resource and free-tool details you choose to submit, such as your name, email address, company or production name, selected quiz answers, score bands, report summaries, download requests, and whether you asked to receive Planner updates.

Basic technical information, such as device, browser, IP address, approximate location, log events, security events, and cookie preferences.

If you choose Sign in with Google, Google shares only the basic profile information needed to create and secure your Planner account: your Google account ID, email address, email verification status, name, and profile image when available.

How we use information

We use account and profile data to let you sign in, keep your account secure, show your identity to collaborators, send service messages, and provide support.

We use project data to provide Planner features: scheduling, collaboration, sharing, exports, reminders, comments, permissions, team views, and admin controls.

We use lead magnet and free-tool data to send the requested resource or report, show you the unlocked result, follow up where you asked us to, and understand production planning problems in aggregate.

We use operational data to maintain reliability, prevent abuse, debug errors, measure product performance, and understand usage trends. Optional Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics run only when analytics consent is granted.

We do not use Google user data to access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google product. Google sign-in is used for authentication only.

Lawful bases

We process account, project, billing, support, and requested-resource data to provide the service or take steps you ask for before using the service.

We rely on legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention, service reliability, product diagnostics, and understanding aggregated product usage, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

We rely on consent for optional analytics cookies and for marketing emails where consent is required. You can withdraw cookie consent from Cookie Preferences and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.

Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers that help us run Planner, such as hosting, authentication, database, payment, analytics, email, monitoring, and support tools.

We share project content with people you invite or authorize through Planner sharing, folder membership, project membership, exports, or links you create.

We do not sell personal data. We do not sell Google user data. We do not share Google user data for advertising or unrelated third-party purposes.

Storage, security, and retention

We use access controls, encrypted transport, provider security controls, and role-based permissions to protect Planner data.

We keep account and project data while your account or workspace is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for security, legal, backup, billing, or operational reasons.

We usually keep marketing resource and free-tool submissions for up to 24 months, unless we need to keep them longer for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons, or you ask us to delete them sooner.

Cookie preferences and local storage choices stay on your device until you change them, clear browser storage, or we replace the preference version.

You can ask us to correct or delete personal data. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies and local storage keep Planner signed in and functional.

Analytics cookies are optional. You can accept, reject, or change analytics preferences from Cookie Preferences.

Planner also uses first-party local storage and session storage for security, account flow recovery, workspace state, and product diagnostics. Where storage is not essential, we keep it limited and use it to understand the service rather than to sell advertising.

Your rights and contact

Under UK GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data.

For privacy requests, contact support@get-planner.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
